There is something for everyone. From skateboarding to bridge to wine
tasting, come join your neighbours for a class or an evening. Please
see programs for NEW courses or read below for upcoming events.
SUPERVISED BRIDGE
Come join us for an evening of bridge! If you’ve
ever wanted to learn how to play or have been playing for years, here
is your chance to find some fellow players. Play bridge with a
qualified director in a relaxed, non-competitive setting. Basic
instruction provided for the first ½ hour and assistance available
during remaining play. This event is non-ACBL and great for those new
to bridge. Cookies tea and coffee provided. If this is a huge success,
we can make it a regular event. Let’s bring bridge to Lindenlea!

DATE NIGHT
Can’t wait to see the latest movie?
What about that restaurant you’ve been hearing about?
Or maybe you just want to have a quiet conversation…
Take some time for yourselves and leave the kids to us!
Sue Seguin will entertain your children with crafts and a movie and you
have a 3-hour window to have fun. Pizza dinner included.
$20 per child. 5-10 year olds. Maximum of 10 children. So sign up soon.

JOIN US AT THE FOOD BANK
This fall, Lindenleaders will have the opportunity
to volunteer at the Ottawa Food Bank on a regular basis. For the rest
of 2010, we have secured the first Saturday of every month from
10AM-12PM to sort food. This entails taking donated food and sorting it
into specific categories that can then be shipped out to needy
families. There is no experience necessary and it is a great way for
kids to have fun while introducing them to the world of volunteering.
For adults, it is a great way to meet your neighbours or spend time
with friends while coming together for a good cause.

each date. The dates for this fall are: September 4th, October 2nd,
November 6th and December 4th from 10AM-12PM.
WINE TASTING
Looking to do something new this holiday season?
Join us for a fun evening to explore the world of wine with an
accredited Sommelier & a glass in hand. Lindenlea Community Center
is proud to host Savvy Company, www.savvycompany.ca, a growing Ottawa
wine marketing business founded by Debbie Trenholm. Debbie & her
team of Savvy Sommeliers are committed to making wine
accessible—through creative social experiences – like ours!
For this special pre-holiday event, Debbie
will showcase wines that are perfect to serve your friends and family
over the holidays. Throughout the evening, Debbie will share with you
stories of the selected wines and winemakers, along with wine and food
pairing tips and tricks. Each wine will be matched with delicious
artisan Canadian cheeses to make it a memorable ‘wine & cheese’
event.
Everyone welcome, regardless of your wine
knowledge. During this fun evening, you will certainly learn some new
things about wines, and most of all, discover new favorite wines to
serve over the holidays. Mark your calendars now!
