Lindenlea Vision QuestLindenlea has been a very good place to live since its inception (1919). In concept, the core of Lindenlea is a planned community based on the Garden City urban design model. The vision associated with that design ethic resulted in a strong sense of place and identity among the residents a great quality of life and a strong sense of community that has lasted a number of generations.
Today, Lindenlea is the geographical area bounded by Beechwood, Springfield, Maple Lane and Acacia Avenue. But ‘the community’ includes more than what is found within those physical boundaries. A ‘virtual Lindenlea’ exists around the organizing forces of the Lindenlea List Serve, our website and our Facebook Page. The Lindenlea Community Association (LCA) is the organizing construct of our community. In recognition of our 100th anniversary of the establishment of Lindenlea, the LCA has struck a Centennial Project. We aspire to ‘remember our past, celebrate the present and imagine the future’. Developing a community vision is one tool that can help us examine those objectives. There are two key reasons we need to develop a vision of our community:
