Valerie Lawton has generously volunteered to coordinate chili donations. Please e-mail Valerie (valerielawton@sympatico.ca) if you would like to bring some chli. Sleigh ride starts at 5:30 and dinner follows the first sleigh ride.
John Verdon makes a mean chili and Pierre LeBlanc makes some tasty pulled pork. There will be a dessert table, if you would like to bring some cookies to share. Or, you can just come and enjoy the company of your neighbours:)
Dinner is free. We always collect donations for a worthwhile cause. This year we will be collecting donations to pay for winter coats and other essentials for two Syrian sisters, who have newly arrived in Canada.

Annual FAll Clean up & BBQ is SAturday, October 29th
Come out and help. Get rewarded with food. Earn our undying thanks. We had a wonderful summer and hate to see them go, but it is time to say farewell to our Linden leaves. Coffee will be ready by 9:00 for those who need it. We collect well over 100 bags of leaves from the park, bus stop, tennis courts, and other common areas, so there is plenty to go around. Rain date is Sunday. See you there!

Thank you to all of the volunteers who set up, prepped, cooked, and cleaned up! Thanks to everyone who came!
Annual plant and garage Sale
A big thanks to Brittany Boychuk who ran the plant sale and all of the volunteers and community members who made the day possible. And thanks to the Scouts who provided tasty treats and lunch! The weather was perfect and it was a great fund raiser for the LCC. The park was hopping!
Volunteering at the ottawa food bank
Thank you volunteers!
We spent a morning sorting food at The Ottawa Food Bank. We will try to do it again in the fall. The Ottawa Food Bank receives some funding from the city of Ottawa, but fundraises 90% of their operating budget. They receive the least amount of food donations during the summer.
Apologies to the couple of volunteers who had to leave before I took the photo. Thank you!

Great CAnadian hoser award--A.K.A. The Golden HOse
Lindenlea Rink was chosen by Canadian Tire as one of the four best outdoor rinks across Canada this year. Our volunteers have worked so hard this winter with such challenging weather. We are so grateful for them!

Lindenlea's Little free library
Our Little Free Library is ready for business! Andrew, Lachlan, and Dean made this dream come to life. Thank you! This is a take a book, leave a book library. Come borrow a book or leave a book for your neighbours to read. (You need to consider your books a donation, because there is a possibility you will not see them again:)
The Lindenlea Community Association is a hugely appreciative of the RPPS Book Fair and our Public Libraries. We hope that our Free Little Library can help spread the love of books while bringing our community together.
The Free Little Library will winter in the community centre. With the city's approval, we hope to move it to the park in the spring.
